Major Corey A. Cooper (Ret) is a Relationship Manager for AAFMAA Wealth Management & Trust LLC (AWM&T). Originally hailing from South Carolina, he embarked on his military journey as an enlisted Soldier in 2001. Corey subsequently completed Officer Candidate School in July 2002 and received his commission as a Field Artillery Officer in 2003. His illustrious career culminated in a pivotal role at the Pentagon as a command budget officer.

Despite briefly venturing into the financial sector as a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley, Corey felt a compelling call to return to the Army and continue his dedicated service to the nation.

In his current capacity as a Relationship Manager with AWM&T, Corey applies the same meticulous attention to detail and unwavering respect for military Veterans and their families that characterized his tenure as a Finance Commander and various roles as a comptroller. He eagerly anticipates the opportunity to support military families across the state of North Carolina and surrounding territories.

Corey and his wife, Matilda, with whom he has shared over 23 years of companionship, reside with their son, Jared, outside of Cary, North Carolina. Beyond his professional commitments, Corey finds joy in studying the stock market, connecting with new people, and embracing the entrepreneurial spirit.
