Veteran Saves Week 2025: Partnering for Financial Strength

We’re excited to announce that Veteran Saves Week returns November 4–7, 2025. AAFMAA Wealth Management & Trust LLC (AWM&T) is proud to partner in this effort to support the military community in building financial confidence and strong saving habits.
Here’s what you need to know about Veteran Saves Week, a free, virtual event packed with financial resources exclusively for the military community.
What is Veteran Saves Week?
Veteran Saves Week is an annual campaign dedicated to helping Veterans, transitioning servicemembers, caregivers, and military families take control of their financial future.
Now in its second year, the campaign is built around the idea that no matter where you are on your financial journey, small steps can lead to lasting change. Over the course of the week, participants will be encouraged to take the Veteran Saves pledge, set goals, make simple savings plans, and get access to tools, resources, and daily themes to guide their progress.
Veteran Saves is a program of America Saves, an initiative of the nonprofit organization, Consumer Federation of America (CFA).
Daily Themes and Conversations
Veteran Saves Week is more than just a campaign. It’s an invitation for each person in the military community to take one more step toward financial stability. Whether you’re saving for emergencies, paying off debt, planning where you’ll live after service, or navigating the move to civilian employment, this event offers structure, tools, and encouragement.
Each day of Veteran Saves Week focuses on one of four critical areas of financial wellness:
Tuesday, November 4
Survival Mode Spending: What To Do When There’s Not Enough
Knowing where your money is going, what to pay first, and how to access trusted support can be the first step toward stability. This day focuses on building financial confidence when you’re just trying to make it through the month.
Wednesday, November 5
Building Trust With Your Financial Institution
Choosing a bank or credit union that is accessible, understands Veterans' lifestyles, and can help you achieve your financial goals not only builds your financial confidence but also better positions you for wealth and asset building.
Thursday, November 6
Paycheck Check-In: Making the Military-to-Civilian Transition Make Sense
The financial shift from military to civilian employment comes with surprises, like smaller paychecks, the loss of tax-free allowances like BAH, and fewer built-in benefits. Knowing what to expect and how to adjust can help you build a plan that works for your civilian life.
Friday, November 7
The Real Cost of Housing After Service
Transitioning out of the military often means adjusting to a new housing reality. Civilian housing costs, credit checks, and deposits can catch many Veterans off guard. Understanding your options and preparing for what’s ahead can make all the difference.
AWM&T is Proud to Participate in Veteran Saves Week
