Connecting with the Military Community at SOF Week 2026

Written by Jackie Baker | Jun 12, 2026 6:45:10 AM

Each year, Special Operations Forces (SOF) Week brings together members of the global special operations community, military leaders, industry partners, and organizations dedicated to supporting those who serve. Hosted in partnership with U.S. Special Operations Command and the Global SOF Foundation, the event has become one of the premier gatherings for collaboration, innovation, and professional networking within the defense community.

This year, AAFMAA Wealth Management & Trust LLC (AWM&T) alongside our parent company, Armed Forces Mutual, were proud to have members of our team representing our organization and connecting with military professionals, Veterans, and their families throughout the week.

Representing Our Mission

Throughout the event, our team had the opportunity to engage with attendees from across the special operations community, discussing many of the financial questions that arise during military service and the transition to civilian life.

Attending on behalf of Armed Forces Mutual and AWM&T were:

Brittany Benassi, CFP®, WMCP®

AWM&T

Vice President of Financial Planning

Eric Riederer

AWM&T

Business Development Executive

Anthony Nemanic, WMCP®

AWM&T

Senior Relationship Manager

Sarah Roder, CFEI®

Armed Forces Mutual
Director of Partnerships & Member Engagement

Conversations That Matter

While SOF Week is known for highlighting innovation and strategic partnerships, one of the most rewarding aspects of the event is the opportunity to have personal conversations with those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country.

Many of the discussions centered around topics we know are critical to military families:

• Preparing financially for military transition

• Building a long-term investment strategy

• Protecting loved ones through thoughtful estate and trust planning

• Understanding how military benefits fit into an overall financial plan

For many servicemembers, financial planning often takes a back seat to the demands of military life. Events like SOF Week create valuable opportunities to pause, ask questions, and begin planning for the future. Take a peek at our reels below!
