Three Teams, One Mission: Serving Military Families

Written by Jackie Baker | Jun 10, 2026 7:37:29 PM

Each year, Armed Forces Mutual, our parent company, holds their Annual Meeting to provide an opportunity for Members, military families, and trusted partners to come together, reflect on the past year, and look ahead to the future. The 2026 event was no exception, and brought together our community for a day of connection, education, and shared purpose at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia.

The 147th Annual Meeting served as more than a business update – it was a reminder of the enduring mission that has guided Armed Forces Mutual for generations: helping military families build financial security and preserve their legacy.

Associates from all three entities joined forces for a comprehensive event. Members heard remarks from Association leadership, including Board Chair General Dennis J. Reimer, USA (Ret.), President Brigadier General Mike Meese, USA (Ret.), CFO and Treasurer Mark Matsuura, and COO and Secretary Dan Klein, who reflected on the organization's accomplishments and ongoing commitment to serving those who serve.

A Conversation About Protecting Your Legacy

One of the highlights of this year's event was the educational panel discussion, The Biggest Financial Decisions You'll Make to Secure Your Legacy. The session explored many of the questions military families face throughout their financial journey, from protecting loved ones through life insurance to mortgage planning to cultivating financial strategies designed to last for generations.

We were especially proud to have two of our own AAFMAA Wealth Management & Trust professionals representing our team on the panel.

Kristin Ketner Pak, MBA

As Senior Portfolio Manager, Kristin brought more than three decades of investment experience to the discussion, sharing perspectives on disciplined investing, long-term planning, and maintaining confidence through changing market conditions.

Erin J. Kinkade, CFP®, ChFC®

As one of our Financial Planners, Erin discussed the importance of building a comprehensive financial plan that aligns with a family's goals, values, and vision for the future. Her client-centered approach reinforces the belief that financial planning is not a one-time event, but an ongoing partnership.
